Virtuix Inc. signed a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) in Monterey, California. Under the CRADA, Virtuix will provide an Omni One system to NPS's Modeling, Virtual Environments, and Simulation (MOVES) Institute. NPS researchers will assess the Omni One's suitability and effectiveness for military training and simulation tasks, focusing on small-footprint, omni-directional navigation technology. This agreement expands Virtuix's presence in the defense market and supports the adoption of its Virtual Terrain Walk (VTW) technology for military and first responder use cases. VTW is a multi-user system enabling soldiers to physically walk, run, and crouch in geo-specific or geo-typical virtual worlds for mission planning, rehearsals, and general training purposes. The VTW technology incorporates AI-driven 3D reconstruction to rapidly transform real-world environments captured with 360-degree cameras into high-fidelity, photorealistic 3D worlds.
