On March 23, 2026, the Audit Committee of Sun Communities, Inc. approved the appointment of Deloitte & Touche LLP as the new independent registered public accounting firm for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2026. Deloitte's appointment is effective upon the filing of the Company's Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q for the quarter ending March 31, 2026. Grant Thornton LLP was dismissed as the Company's independent registered public accounting firm, effective upon completion of its current engagement's services for the period ended March 31, 2026. Audit reports from Grant Thornton for the fiscal years ended December 31, 2025, and 2024, did not contain an adverse opinion, a disclaimer of opinion, or any qualifications or modifications. During the past two fiscal years and subsequent interim period, there were no disagreements with Grant Thornton on accounting principles, practices, financial statement disclosure, or auditing scope or procedure. A previously disclosed material weakness in the Company's internal control over financial reporting as of December 31, 2024, was remediated in 2025.
