Kodiak Gas Services, Inc. (KGS) completed the acquisition of Distributed Power Solutions, LLC (DPS) on April 1, 2026. The acquisition involved a cash consideration of $587 million and the issuance of 2,401,278 shares of Kodiak common stock to the sellers. DPS has been rebranded as Kodiak Power Solutions, a new division of Kodiak Gas Services. The acquisition adds approximately 395 megawatts of generation capacity and diversifies Kodiak's customer base into data centers, microgrids, manufacturing, and energy infrastructure. Kodiak expects the transaction to be immediately accretive to earnings and discretionary cash flow per share, enhancing the stability and duration of contracted cash flows.
