Core Scientific is scaling its Pecos, Texas campus to 1.5 gigawatts (GW) of gross power capacity. The expansion targets 1.0 GW of leasable power for high-density colocation (HDC) services. The site is transitioning from 300 megawatts (MW) of bitcoin mining capacity to AI-focused data center infrastructure. Construction has reached a milestone with foundational footings set and vertical construction underway. The company secured an incremental 300 MW of gross power capacity and acquired over 200 acres of land to support the project.
