Effective March 29, 2026, Eric T. Giering was appointed President of Cass Commercial Bank, succeeding Dwight D. Erdbruegger. Dwight D. Erdbruegger assumed the role of EVP, Strategy and Business Operations and plans to retire in September 2026. A press release dated March 30, 2026 announced the appointment and highlighted continuity in disciplined credit practices and risk management. Giering joined Cass Commercial Bank in 2019 as Director of Commercial Banking and brings 30+ years of commercial banking experience, including senior roles at BMO Harris Bank, Commerce Bank, National City Bank, and First of America Bank. Under Erdbruegger’s tenure since July 2018, the bank strengthened its market position, expanded key lines of business, and maintained conservative credit discipline with strong financial performance. Cass Information Systems disburses tens of billions of dollars annually on behalf of clients, supported by its wholly owned subsidiary, Cass Commercial Bank.
